History & Mission

Our History

 In the wake of the Aurora Century Theater tragedy in 2012, our community came together with a shared commitment to build a safer future. The Aurora Police Foundation was established to strengthen the partnership between the Aurora Police Department and the community, working side by side to enhance safety and support those who serve. 

Our Mission

The mission of the Aurora Police Foundation is to support the operations of the Aurora Police Department by providing grants for officer training, equipment, supplies and support community involvement.
